These courses are offered by Skip Kincaid and approved by MO Department of Agric. (MDA) for the following:
-

NEW! If you are licensed in more than one category, you need to attend a class for each category. New MDA rules require that you recertify in CORE and also in each and every category you wish to retain. All of the class dates listed above contain CORE and material for one specific category (3 or 6) that will be presented in one day.
-
Technician Re-Training (for technicians in Cat 3) available for all of the yellow dates above. It is not offered or included in the core and Cat 6 courses on June 28; August 28, and November 20.
-
Technician Training for new technician trainees in Cat 3 (Only six of the ten required hours of classroom technician training are provided. We will provide you with a "Technician Notice of Training" form for the six hours this training will provide. You will need to provide the remaining hours of classroom training and the "on the job" training required by MDA. Tech training is not offered or included in the core and Cat 6 courses on June 28; August 28, and November 20.
-
Exam Preparation for those wanting to prepare for the core exam and category exams. Many people find the class to be a goo prep or review prior to taking the CORE and category exams.
-
NEW! Non-Certified Restricted Use Pesticide (NRUP) Training (required for all non-certified applicators that will be using restricted use pesticides (RUPs) after January 1, 2025) A non-certified applicator is essentially anyone that uses pesticides and has not taken the CORE and category exams. Technicians are considered a non-certified applicator. NRUP can replace a current tech license and is required for technicians that will use restricted use pesticides. NRUP applicators will need to be supervised by a certified applicator that holds a license in the same category as the intended use by the NRUP license holder. NRUP training will be required every year to maintain an NRUP license. Visit the Missouri Department of Agriculture website for details about NRUP rules and regulations. https://agriculture.mo.gov/plants/pesticides/rule-changes.php
Once you are registered for a class, you will receive a log-in code the day before the course for one person to attend the virtual session from 8:00am-3:00pm. The login link will be sent to the email address you provide during registration. Be sure to look for the email with the link prior to the class. Depending on your email security settings, the email may go to your spam folder, so check there as well. NOTE: You must register each person separately!
On-line attendance for each registered attendee is verified through Zoom and periodic check-ins during the class. Credit for attendance will not be granted for multiple viewers unless arrangements are made with Skip Kincaid. You will need to be logged in for the entire broadcast to receive credit for your attendance and be eligible for recertification. (Periodic short term disconnects are OK if you log back in immediately.)
Strict adherence to MDA policies is maintained. Full attendance at required sessions is a must for credit to be received. MDA will receive notice of your attendance.
The "CORE and Category 3" classes provide six hours of "classroom training" for new technician trainees in Category 3. However, if you have a person that you want to train as a new technician, you will need to provide the remaining required classroom training and the "on the job" training required by MDA. Select the Technician Training option and we will provide you with a "Technician Notice of Training" form that you can submit to MDA along with your technician application. Note that technicians will not be able to apply restricted use chemicals after January 1, 2025 (See NRUP option).
All class dates provide the new NRUP training option that is required for non-certified (current technicians or unlicensed) individuals that use restricted use pesticides (RUPs) after January 1, 2025. You do not need NRUP if you hold or plan to acquire a commercial, non-commercial, or public operators license. Check the NRUP option on the registration form and we will provide you with an approved "NRUP Notice of Training" form after attending the class. You can submit this to MDA along with your "NRUP Application".
